Cockapoo and Doodle Memorial Urns
Doodles are the hardest group we sculpt, because there is no breed standard to fall back on. Two Cockapoos from the same litter can have completely different coats, ear length and muzzle shape. Everything comes from your photographs and nothing from a reference book.

Sculpting a Cockapoo
With a pedigree breed we can start from known proportions and adjust. With a doodle there is nothing to start from — the sculpture is built entirely from what your photos show, which is why we ask for more of them for these dogs.
Coat is the biggest variable. Some Cockapoos have tight Poodle curl, some have loose Cocker wave, most are somewhere between. Curl is pressed in with a tool; wave is dragged. The two techniques look nothing alike and cannot be swapped.
Ear length varies enormously. Long feathered Cocker-type ears need supporting during drying or they crack where they meet the head; short Poodle-type ears do not.
What we look for in your photos
- Whether the coat curls, waves, or does both in different places.
- Ear length and how much feathering hangs below the jaw.
- Muzzle length — the single biggest difference between one doodle and another.
- Colour: apricot, red, chocolate, black, roan, parti. Roan and parti markings are individual and worth photographing clearly.

Which size for a Cockapoo?
Typical adult weight is 5–11 kg (Cockapoo) · larger for Labradoodles and Goldendoodles. Most Cockapoos take size S or M. Larger doodles — Labradoodles, Goldendoodles — need size L.
