Deadlines allow 54 days — our slowest realistic production time, slowest shipping, and a small buffer. Most orders arrive sooner.

Why the lead time is what it is

A figurine is built by hand from your photographs, and then it has to dry completely before firing. A piece that goes into a 1200°C kiln with moisture still in it does not just crack — the water flashes to steam and it can burst, taking neighbouring work with it. That drying period is the part that cannot be compressed.

If you have missed the deadline

Message us anyway. Deadlines above are calculated on worst-case timings, and depending on what is already in the kiln we can sometimes do better. We will tell you honestly whether it is achievable rather than take the order and hope.

If it genuinely is not possible, a reasonable alternative is to order anyway and give a card with a photograph of the design on the day, with the piece arriving later. Several customers have done this and reported it worked better than expected — the second arrival extends the occasion rather than ending it.

Memorial dates are different

For a death anniversary or for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day on 28 August, there is less pressure to hit the date exactly. An urn that arrives a fortnight after the anniversary is not a failed gift; it is a second moment of remembering.
