Personalised Pet Gifts for Christmas: Order by 1 November
A hand-sculpted pet gift takes four to seven weeks, so Christmas orders close on 1 November. What to choose, what it costs, and how to get photos without spoiling it.
Personalised pet gifts for Christmas need to be ordered by 1 November if they are hand-sculpted. A piece from Pepple Studio takes four to seven weeks: 21 to 35 days to sculpt, dry and fire, then 7 to 14 days in transit, and the deadline keeps a few days in hand for a slow courier. That means the choosing happens in October.
If you are buying for someone whose dog or cat is very much alive, the sections below cover what to choose, what each piece costs, and how to get photographs without ruining the surprise.
When should you order a personalised pet gift for Christmas?
Order by 1 November for a piece to arrive before 25 December. Pepple Studio takes 21 to 35 days to sculpt, dry, glaze and fire, and transit to the US, UK, Canada or Australia adds 7 to 14 days on top of that. Added together at their slowest, those two numbers come to 49 days, and the studio keeps five more in hand for a courier that runs late, which is where 1 November comes from when you count back from Christmas Day. That is arithmetic rather than a marketing deadline, and the reason it cannot be shaved is the drying stage, which answers to the humidity in Ho Chi Minh City rather than to what anyone is willing to pay for speed. Our ordering deadlines guide carries the exact dates we work to, for Christmas and for the rest of the year. If you are reading this in December, the honest answer is that a hand-sculpted piece will not reach you in time.
What makes a pet gift personal rather than generic?
A pet gift reads as personal when the object was made from one particular animal rather than printed with a picture of it. At Pepple Studio the figurine is modelled in clay by hand from the photographs you send, without a mould and without any printed or scanned stage, so the ear set, the build and the markings belong to a single dog rather than to its breed. A printed mug can be reordered in a minute. A sculpted one cannot exist until someone has spent days building it from your photographs, which is also where the four to seven weeks goes. How close that likeness gets, and where it stops, is set out in how accurate a hand-sculpted figurine is.

An example of this design. The head and the charms are sculpted and glazed, then strung on a cord of your choice. The piece shown is a digital visualisation.
Which pet gift suits someone who has everything?
The gift that suits someone who has everything is the one they will pick up every day. The pieces Pepple Studio makes for a living pet are listed below, and the useful question is not which is nicest but where in the house it will end up, because a sculpted object that lives in a cupboard is a worse gift than a smaller one that lives on a desk. Prices run USD 42 to 289 depending on the piece and the amount of sculpting in it.
| Piece | What it is | Price | Where it tends to live |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keychain | A sculpted head of the pet on a cord | USD 42 to 50 | Pocket or bag, carried daily |
| Mug | A figurine sculpted into a painted landscape inside the mug | USD 179 | A desk or a kitchen shelf |
| Bowl, sculpted or painted | A bowl with the pet sculpted inside it or painted on it | USD 186 sculpted, USD 179 painted | The kitchen |
| Treat jar | A lidded jar with the pet sculpted on the lid | USD 186 to 289 | A kitchen counter |
The keychain sits at the bottom of that range, and pet lover gifts under fifty goes through what is possible on a smaller budget.
Can you order a gift without the owner knowing?
Yes, a personalised pet gift can be ordered without the owner knowing, and the only thing you need from their side is photographs. Pepple Studio works from three or four ordinary pictures of the pet taken from different angles, which is usually easier to arrange than it sounds: a relative or a flatmate can send a few from their own phone. Daylight snapshots beat posed portraits, and the angle matters more than the resolution; the full list is in what photos we need. The one thing worth planning for is the approval photograph. Before anything is fired we send you a picture of the raw clay figurine so you can ask for changes, and that message needs to arrive somewhere the recipient will not see it.
Can you rush a personalised pet gift in December?
No. There is no rush option, no expedited making and no premium fee that shortens the kiln. A piece that goes in before it is bone dry cracks, and a piece fired below 1200°C stays porous, so neither stage bends. Personalised work also cannot be returned for a refund once it has been made, which is the trade-off for it being made only for you, and it is why the approval photograph exists. If a piece arrives broken in transit, send us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we remake it and reship it at no cost. How it works sets out each step and what we need from you at every point.
Choosing something this year
If the pet is alive and the person is hard to buy for, the table above is the whole range and the gift collection has all of it, and the deciding is the slow part rather than the ordering. Pick the object that fits their day, send the photographs, and let November look after itself.
