Cottagecore Pet Urns

A cottagecore pet urn is built to look like a handmade storage jar rather than a memorial object — muted earth tones, soft stripes, a slightly irregular hand-thrown form. Most visitors to your home will assume it is a piece of pottery, which for many owners is exactly the point.

Why people choose cottagecore

Not everyone wants to explain. An urn that announces itself invites a conversation every time someone new comes over, and there are stretches where you simply do not have that conversation in you.

The cottagecore aesthetic — warm neutrals, visible making, nothing machine-perfect — gives you an object that can sit on an open kitchen shelf among other pottery and be entirely unremarkable until you want it to be otherwise.

Product images are digital visualisations, not photographs of finished pieces. Every piece is genuinely made by hand in our studio, and because of that yours will differ from what you see here.

Yours will differ — each figurine is sculpted from your own pet's photos.

How this design is made

We leave more of the throwing rings visible on these than on our other pieces, and the glaze is applied thinner at the rim so the clay body shows through. The imperfection is deliberate and takes some restraint.

Decoration stays minimal: a band of stripes, a small sprig, sometimes nothing at all beyond the figurine.

The figurine is often glazed in the same earth tones as the body rather than in the animal's real colouring, so the whole thing reads as one object.
