Angel Wings Pet Urns
An angel wings pet urn has a pair of wings sculpted in relief — either rising from the body of the jar or folded around the figurine on the lid. The wings are built up in clay by hand, feather by feather, rather than pressed from a mould.

Why people choose angel wings
Wings are the oldest shorthand we have for something that has gone somewhere better and is still, in some sense, looking after us. It is the most openly sentimental theme we make, and nobody who chooses it is apologising for that.
It is also the theme most often ordered by someone other than the owner — a sibling, a friend, a colleague who wants to send something and does not know what else to send.
Pieces we have made
Product images are digital visualisations, not photographs of finished pieces. Every piece is genuinely made by hand in our studio, and because of that yours will differ from what you see here.

How this design is made
Each feather is laid on individually while the clay is still soft, working from the tip inwards so they overlap the way real feathers do. A pair of wings takes longer than the figurine itself.
Relief work is fragile before firing. Wings are the piece most likely to need remaking mid-process, which is part of why this design sits at the higher end of our range.
We usually leave the wings unglazed or barely glazed, so the matte clay catches light differently from the glossy body of the jar.
